RAI Raises Chef Shortage Issue in the Dáil
Dear Member,
Yesterday in the Dáil, the Restaurants Association of Ireland raised the issue of the severe shortage of qualified chefs in the country. The RAI has repeatedly called on the government for the re-establishment of the CERT programme, which was discontinued in 2003. This programme would no doubt help ease the chef shortage in Ireland.
The RAI will continue to fight for the establishment of more training and education programmes on behalf of the industry.
Yesterday's Dáil discussion can be watched online here.
Kind Regards,
The Restaurants Association of Ireland
